Welcome to my campaign website. I appreciate your interest.

As a former top-rated justice on the Third Court of Appeals, I know what it takes to earn the respect of the citizens and lawyers of the 24 counties that make up the Third Court's district. I am proud of my 12 years of service on the Court.

And I know the leadership and effort it will take to return the Third Court of Appeals to the preeminent status it once held within the legal community of Texas. It will take old-fashioned hard work, and it will take a dedication to evenhanded justice. I want even the losing parties to feel they received a fair shot.

But perhaps most important, it will take a conviction that members of the Texas judiciary are servants of the people. Judges do not serve to inflate their own egos, nor to advance their own interests, political or otherwise. They serve to do the people's business, nothing more and nothing less.
